Weapon DescriptionTwo short swords, about a foot and a half in length. They are plain and unadorned, but the level of craftsmanship in them in excellent. Both have somewhat leaf shaped blades made of quality steel, and both bear nicks and scratches of use, although it is obvious that very good care has been taken of them. They have round hand guards, and rounded pommels.
Three throwing knives are stashed in his belt. Their blades are five inches long, and are well weighted, and unadorned.

Abilities
Beran is a decently talented shaman, and does not bear the usual elven taboos against summoning fire spirits, although he does not have much experience with summoning them and usually doesnt due to the fact that he might not be able to control them. He usually summons air spirits, such as Sylph, to guide his thrown knives, or to keep his opponents off balance.
In hand to hand combat, he is a fast and ruthless opponent. He doesnt wear armor, and is not able to withstand a lot of punishment, so he relies on his speed to take out his opponents before they can score a hit.
PersonalityBeran is a very fun loving person, and seldom seems to take any situation seriously. He laughs in the face of danger, mostly because that is how he reacts to anything. He is loyal to his friends, and will protect the innocent with his life. He also has a burning desire to be a hero, and often tends to find more sinister motives in everything, whether they are there or not. He tends to joke a lot, and usually adds in some sort of snide remark to any conversation. In general he cant seem to keep his mouth shut.
Despite his brash demeanor, he is a genuinely kind person, and is highly empathic towards others. He is a good comforter, and a good listener if he has to.

Quotes: Sylph, spirit of air, I call thee. Knock this guy on his ass.
HistoryBeran was born in Raiden to an elven mother and human father. His mother, Aren, was exiled from her people for killing her husband and his lover in a fit of jealous rage, although his mother never would tell either he nor his father that. His father, Maldo, was a merchant, and on one of his many long treks to find new wares, encountered Aren and the two fell in love. Beran is their only child.
Beran grew up on the road, and in the family home in Raiden. He often accompanied his father on his caravans, and greatly loved that time. His fathers mercenary guards became some of Berans closest friends, and they taught the young boy how to fight from a young age. His mother taught him the Elven arts of shamanism, and he was an apt pupil.
At sixteen, Berans father allowed him to accompany the caravan more often, and Beran became another bodyguard to the caravan, albeit in a more unofficial capacity due to his young age, and they traveled all over the island of Lodoss. His mother stayed at the family home in Raiden more and more often, as the road didnt suit her. The family was well off, and Aren tended the family interests in the markets back in Raiden, along with the familys servants.
Beran became subject to a great wanderlust as he reached the age of nineteen. He loved his family, and enjoyed his job guarding his fathers caravans, but he wanted adventure more than the stability that his current life offered. Tales of the wars inspired the young man, and he wanted to be a hero in his own right. He approached his father about leaving, and after some fighting, Maldo let his son go.
Since then, Beran has been wandering Lodoss, working as a bodyguard here and there, and generally just trying to find an adventure of some sort.
