As a draft horse, Marelle is a compact, muscular horse that is not lacking in agility and endurance. Marelles coat is a sultry blue roan color throughout that fade to black long hair past the knees. She has a long, matching mane that proves most unmanageable and often appears unbrushed by nature. What is most impressive, however, is not so much Marelle, but her special saddle, which holds a series of leather straps that hold each of Grenniths swords. The sheath and sword can be easily removed and replaced from the side of Marelle.
PersonalityLike most drafts, Marelle is quite friendly and gentle. She is not easily spooked, as she is used to being ridden on difficult terrain and in environments with rather vicious predatorsshe knows when danger is real and when it is not. Marelle has also learned to be quite protective of her saddle and the weapons it contains. She will often get upset if anyone else comes up to her saddle on the side of the weapons without Grennith to calm her.
HistoryMarelle was the final gift of Grenniths master and one of the few horses of the training grounds. She was purchased at the age of four and trained for light draft work, but was also trained to be ridden, especially in the challenging environments of Marmo. In the end, she did little draft work and instead came to serve the newest of Marmos weapon masters as a steed, since no war horses were available.
