Nightfire is of natural build and form for a wyvern. Like all wyverns, she appears to be much like an ancient dragon, except more like the size of a work horse with wings. Nightfire has abnormally dark scales and blends in with the night sky much better than most other wyverns. Nightfire is muscular in appearance, but would appear normal to anyone who hadnt really taken a good look at a wyvern in person before. She is also a bit on the large side, though.
PersonalityNightfire is stubborn. By all accounts, she has as much of a mind where they go as her rider does. She seems to refuse most riders unless Jeren is behind the reigns. In fact, she distrusts most everyone unless Jeren is there to assure her. She has an overwhelming enjoyment for her flights in the sky and hates being grounded for long.
HistoryNightfire was hatched under a strong mother in the heartland of Moss. She was wild and unruly for most of her life as she was raised. Many a trainer struggled to bring her up in the proper manner as a dragon knight mount. But she resisted each attempt, preferring to be wild. No one understood her needs. So, for many years she was left to be, flying with those that had been broken in.
Around the age of fourteen, Nightfire met her match. She met a boy named Jeren, who had an inner wish as large as hers. Through bonding and friendship, Nightfire let herself be tamed, knowing that this one would join her in freedom one day. Jeren named her Nightfire by combining everything he saw in her. First was her dark scales and eyes, which looked like the midnight sky. Second was that inner fire that burned in her heart. So the name Nightfire fell on her. She grew up with this boy, flying as much as she could with him. Up through the years they drilled and succeeded in life.
The day came and they escaped. She knew that they were free of the place that she was restricted to and so was he, so they flew away together. Now, she flies with him across the sky, seeing new places and new things.
